Happy quarantine, friends!! 😛 Are you getting as bored as we are? We compiled a list of fun things to do.
Allison has put together some very unique ideas in this list. Many of them are perfect for doing with siblings! Our favorites are: having a memory show and playing a character game on post-it notes.
Mikayla’s ideas are tailored to helping your extroverted and introverted friends during this crazy time. These two lists are both helpful and funny.
Kate (+ Mikayla in Part 2) shares how they read a book together long-distance! Perfect tips for right now. 🙂
Our family loves watching this Dry Bar Comedy together, and they recently made it free! Though it is generally pretty clean, you can set filters on the comedy specials to take out any unwanted content. VidAngel is also offering this feature, FREE right now, on a variety of movies!
Audible is offering free audiobooks in response to schools closing. They’re not just for kids though! The audiobooks are divided into six categories: littlest listeners, elementary, tween, teen, literary classics, and folk & fairy tales. There are even some books in other languages.
Camp NaNoWriMo is a month-long challenge, every April and July, to do something new with your writing. You can set your own writing goal (you’re not locked into 50,000 words like in November NaNo!) and work on ANY writing project.
Chalk Your Walk
This is a brilliant movement all about sharing love and encouragement with strangers during this uncertainty! Draw or write messages on your driveway or sidewalk with chalk. Encourage your neighbors to do the same!
Some zoos and aquariums are doing live cams on animals! Everything from jellyfish to penguins, these are fascinating to watch! Check the websites for what time the animals are live.
Google Arts & Culture has partnered with over 500 museums and galleries from around the world to give us virtual tours and online exhibits! You can visit a museum without leaving your couch!
Skillshare offers a free 2 month trial, and they have all the creative classes! Everything from fine arts to photography to web design…
Free 30 day trial of some pretty great courses with topics ranging from history and science to cake decorating and everything in between! Make sure to cancel after the trial is over, so you aren’t billed for the next month.
The Urban Farm U team is offering free gardening classes for 30 days (or as long as needed) in response to the Coronavirus so that “people worldwide can feel empowered to take control of their health and food supply”.
Our oldest sister started this group for people feeling isolated or who suddenly have kids home all day. All the members pitch in by sharing interesting videos and resources!
