5-minute spring scrunchies // DIY

Hey, what’s up ya’ll. I just made some easy DIY, cute scrunchies that only took about 5 minutes!

One of the best parts about this method I used was that I already had the supplies! All you need is a ponytail holder/hair band (whatever you call them XD) and a 3 x 18 rectangle of fabric. I just found some scraps with cute spring patterns that I liked!

Sewing sleepy this Saturday morning. XD

The first three ^_^ Probably many more to come. These are semi-addicting to make. 😀

This is the best video I’ve found that shows how to make them the same way I did!

To make a frayed scrunchie, just skip the step of turning the sewed scrunchie right-side-out. Then cut notches all along the edges of the scrunchie, almost right up to the stitches. Fray the edges by ruffing up the fabric with your fingernail.

Wouldn’t these make great DIY gifts for your girl friends??!

Try making a few (or one hundred while in quarantine! 😉 ). They’re so easy and fun!

Happy spring!! 🌺

  1. Wow this looks really simple and fun to do especially during quarantine haha. I have a question though, is it mandatory to use a sewing machine or does it work with needle and thread too?
