how to make peanut butter cups and how to eat them

These homemade peanut butter cups areΒ super yummy andΒ super easy to make! Today we have a video I made that shows how…

“Yummier than a real Reeses’s!” –Bee, little sis

“They were very good! Plus, I couldn’t taste the rat poison.” –Kate, professional peanut butter cup tester, author

“So beautiful I almost cried. I’d love to eat a thousand pounds of them for Christmas.” –Aimee, dramatic reviewer, furniture refinisher

Fans cried when the peanut butter cups disappeared. These things are so GOOD. πŸ˜›

Today I’m going to teach you how to make your own peanut butter cups,

so tie on an apron and don’t lick your fingers too much!! πŸ˜›

The cupcake papers made the classic indents on the sides which turned out unexpectedly real-looking! If you don’t have a mini muffin tin in your life, follow all the same steps shown in the video, but try just setting the wrappers on a regular plate.

And, if you make your own powdered sugar substitute like I did, this treat is gluten-free!^^

Now go make some and try them for yourself!!

Do you like milk or dark chocolate better? Do you plan to make some peanut butter cups? If you do, make sure to comment your review! πŸ˜€

  2. I’m pretty sure that I like milk chocolate better, but I’m not entirely sure. πŸ˜‰ I did have one question about the recipe: how much of each ingredient do you need? Or is this one of those things where you just kind of guess about amounts? πŸ˜‰ They look so good!

    1. Milk is great!! But dark is good too! πŸ˜‰ Chocolate is chocolate, right? XD
Yes that’s a great question!! It is one of those things where you have to guess about amounts. πŸ™‚

  3. My mom is planning to have a friend and her grown daughter over for a tea party for her friend’s birthday, and I thought about these PB cups. I think mom’s friend is sugar-free so I don’t know if I’ll be able to make them, but I’ll probably end up making them at some point either way. πŸ˜‰ Y’alls blog is AWESOME! Happy Fall!

  4. YUM YUM YUM!!!!!! Gotta make these sometime! πŸ˜€ I usually like dark chocolate when I’m coating an already chocolatey dessert, but with these, I’d probably use milk chocolate. πŸ˜‰

  5. *looks in amazement*
    *looks again, for good measure*
    *wipes drool off the keyboard*
    And they look amazing!!! =9
Man, I’ve gotta try these things — Peanut butter + chocolate is my second favorite flavor combination, my first being coffee + chocolate.

I prefer dark chocolate — the darker the better. There’s one bar of chocolate I can get at a store near us that is 89% cocoa, and absolutely divine. But on these things, I’d probably use milk. And while I’m on the subject of chocolate, let’s stick with milk or dark — not the white stuff that just wanna-be chocolate, or the I-can’t-decide-which-is-better-so-I-mix-the-dark-and-milk-chocolate-together semi-sweet stuff (although I’ll eat either — ’cause, you know, chocolate is chocolate, right? =P)

But….wow. I’ve got to make these things.

Agreed! Peanut butter and chocolate and coffee and chocolate go together scrumptiously well! πŸ˜€
Yum, your dark chocolate does sound amazing! I’m more of a milk chocolate person, but like you said chocolate is chocolate, so I’ll eat what I can get! πŸ˜› πŸ˜‰
