what is “PerAnna”?

So, you’ve surely seen our joint post sign-off, and you’re probably scratching your chin, wondering…what’s with the “PerAnna” thing?

Are we fans of those creepy fish with bad underbites?

Nope.

Our dad used to get our names (Pearl and Anna) mixed up sometimes, so he’d call Anna and be like “Per–uh–Anna!” So it became a joke. A nickname for us. xD

So, no, we aren’t killer fish. Just making that clear. 😛

What is your worst nickname? Do people mix you up with your siblings?

  1. I’m the tallest out of my siblings, so no one mixes me up with them. My worst nick-name is probably 6’4″, even though I’m not that tall. Or Slim Jim. (Please, WHY? XD)

    1. Oooh lucky you! 😛 Most of us are all around the same height and with very close hair colors so we get mixed up all the time. Ouch! Those are pretty bad nicknames. Like how does “Slim Jim” even relate??!! Poor girl. But wowzers, us short girls have got some pretty ridiculous ones too so you’re not alone in this. 😉

      1. Haha! I’ve noticed y’all all look similar. (At least I don’t think you two look too much alike. Pearl looks more like your brother in my opinion. [And I’m ver opinionated. 😉 ])

    2. My condolences. XD My nephews couldn’t say “Pearl” for the longest time so they shortened it to just “pew”. *covers face with hands* Lol

  2. Lol, that is so funny! But I would say that my nickname is worse… So my Grandma would always get mine and Gracie’s names mixed up. And my name would turn out to be Grossy. My Uncles still call me that! I actually don’t mind all that much, but it is pretty weird an funny!😂

  3. I have that problem.. and since I’m the youngest, every..single.time. “Josh-ah-Jo-uh-Jac-uh-Jo-uh-Jo!!” I seriously wonder why we sibs al have the same first two letters in our names… *shakes head* Even my brother accidentally did it.. and his face was the face of one who realizes how old he has aged. XD

  4. Cool!

Lately when I answer the phone, I’ll just say hello and then person on the other end will be like, “Stephanie?” (My Mom’s name) XD
And just yesterday, the phone rang at my Grandma’s house while she was out running her dog, Cooper and it was my Grandpa calling to say he was on the way home. He thought I was my Grandma *sigh*

Also, occasionally, my Grandma will call me either Renee (my aunt) or Stephanie!

    *grins*
    It’s life! 😛 *shrugs*

  5. I mix up my siblings names all the time (I have 10 — all younger!) I did this once and my baby brother looked at me so sweetly and said so very seriously, “You can’t do that, you’re not even a mother yet!”

For some reason everyone we meet can only remember one name, my immediate younger sister, Bethany. So everybody in the family (‘Sept the boys, of course :D) are called Bethaney, and poor Bethaney is usually called some other name that’s not in our family =)

Seriously, I’m glad I found this blog of yours — I happen to enjoy all your families blogs =] Looking forward to more posts!

    1. Wow, ten siblings must be a crazy blast!! lol You poor thing, we call it “mom brain”. xD

haha So like “Bethany 1, Bethany 2, etc”. We have that happen a lot too actually! Our lucky only-brother has his name all to himself, but all us girls get very mixed up in people’s minds. 😀 I guess it’s a big-family thing??!!

Aw happy you like our blogs! Hope this one is just as fun! 🙂
Thanks for your encouraging comment, Kaitlyn! ~PerAnna

Anywho, loving your blog and looking forward to reading some more posts!!!

    1. Hannah!! *waves excitedly* YAY!! Thanks so much for looking at our blog, girl! We loved finding yours! ❤
LOL Snoopy is the cutest little character, but I'm sure having people call you that for no reason would be a.n.n.o.y.i.n.g. 😉 I've hated quite a few of my different nicknames, but thankfully not many have stuck so it's all good now. 😛
Hope you enjoy exploring the posts we've got here so far!

      1. Hehe, I’m growing used to it, but now my one friend wants to call me it, and though I’ve known her for like… since… forever? I’m like, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….. 😛 LOL!

  7. My nickname is “Boogs” and up until last year, I thought it was because when I was a toddler I wiped boogers on the wall next to my bed (and when we moved it took days to clean off) but apparently, it’s because I used to “boogy” all the time. Like, I danced so they gave me the nickname “Boogs.”
So whenever I’m getting out of the car or something, my mom is like “Bye, love you Boogs!”

  8. And I have 5 sib’s so my mom, dad, my Grandma and me call my brother but meaning to say my sister’s name! Or something like that! 🙂 So relatable !

  9. hiya PerAnna! lol, I’ve been called ‘doodi’ (don’t even get me started :/ ) and oddity, which led to the name of my blog, so not all bad, haha. But Doodi?? Pleaseee. And I have a little brother who’s four years younger than me so no one mixes up our names except our mom because she mixes up everyone’s names 😂

    1. Yeah, that ONE nickname that’s a bit annoying, sigh.
Lol, I was called “Pew” for the longest time by my little nephews, because it’s my initials and they couldn’t say Pearl yet. Thankfully, that’s not a big thing anymore. 😉
That’s so fun that your nickname is your blog name!
